HOSPITAL INFRASTURUCTURE & OVERVIEW


The hospital complex is spread over an area of approximately 15 acres with buildings, housing various departments and their respective wards. It houses the Department of Medicine, Radiodiagnosis, Orthopedics, ENT, Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, General Surgery, Pathology. The hospital provides speciality services in all branches of medicine. Patients are attended and admissions are made round the clock. Patients pay a nominal charge for admission in hospital and for investigations and procedures.

OPD slip is issued from 8.30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on all weekdays from the OPD Registration Counter situated at the OPD gate of the hospital. Vaccination are given daily in Childrens' OPD. Surgical OPD runs a Minor Operation Theatre where day surgery is performed. The ground floor of this building houses the OPD block which includes a reception, billing counters, blood collection centers & OPD clinics. OPD charges for new ticket are Rs 1/- The ticket is renewed every 15 days for old patients.

History Of Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida.

Foundation stone-13 May 2008 as Manyawar Kanshiram Multi Speciality Hospital.
On 04 Dec 2012- Medical University by Cabinet.
On 2 Apr 2013, OPD services started.
On 15 Feb 2016, the institution renamed as Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) to start MBBS course and registered with Society as an autonomous institution.

ACADEMIC BLOCK

The Institute is strategically located in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh adjacent to Yamuna Expressway. The Institution has praiseworthy infrastructure and aesthetically designed building. Academic block is magnificently designed in the silhouette of a petal is situated inside the Gautam Budh University campus spreading over an area of about 10 acres. The campus is outstandingly beautiful and picturesque and provides a unique tranquil and pollution free academic environment. The rich landscape of the campus is all set to exceed all possible expectations of the students.Bank/ATM, post office and shopping complex are also available within the campus.

BOYS HOSTEL

GIMS is having a separate hostel for boys, which is situated inside the campus of Gautam Buddha University. It is named after a famous writer of Hindi and Urdu literature Munshi Premchand. Munshi Premchand Boys Hostel is having four floors with the capacity of total 245 single rooms. Rooms are well furnished with required Furniture and Electrical fittings. Each floor is having Water Purifier with Cold Water Dispenser. Solar Water Geysers have been placed on the roof and Fire Fighting System has also been installed at proper places in the Hostel. Apart from Care takers and Visitors Rooms, there are two other big halls also present for the purposes of Recreation and Reading. Mess is situated in the adjacent building. Hostel staffs include: Warden, Assistant Warden, Care Taker, Security Guards and other helpers. It is important to note that Ragging is completely prohibited in the premises

GIRLS HOSTEL

GIMS is having a separate hostel for girls, which is situated inside the campus of Gautam Buddha University. It is named after a famous Indian writer Ismat Chughtai. Hostel is having four floors with the capacity of total 200 single rooms. Rooms are well ventilated. Each floor is having Water Purifier with Cold Water Dispenser. Hostel has a recreation room, reading room with computer facility. A separate mess area is also there. It also has out door sports facility with extensive lawn meant to provide moments of leisure. Fire Fighting System have also been installed at proper places in the hostel. We aim at providing a comfortable home away from home, intellectual stimulation and cultural interaction.

LIBRARY

The central library of GIMS, Greater Noida is housed on 3rd and 4th floor of Boddhisatva Baba Saheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar library in Gautam Buddh university and is spread over 80000 sq. fts . The library is centrally air-conditioned and well-illuminated with seating arrangement of more than 340 users at a time.
