GIMS inaugurated its Advance Diabetes Care Centre (Centre for Excellence for Type 1 Diabetes) in year 2022.

GIMS Advance Diabetes Care Centre has also started Fellowship in Diabetes Mellitus (No. of seats-02), provide Hands on Training (06 Months training for post MD/DNB & 01yr training for post MBBS)

Objectives:

• To provide the comprehensive diabetes care under one roof to patients of western Uttar Pradesh, neighboring states and countries
• To impart education to the professionals committed to deliver diabetes care services
• To enhance the research in diagnosis, treatment and epidemiology of diabetes
• To start community outreach program in remote area of western Uttar Pradesh
• To start the tele-consultation services for patients of Diabetes

The Components of Advanced Diabetic Center:

• State of Art Diabetes Clinical Care Center for comprehensive management of patients with diabetes and its complications – to serve the mission of complication free disease
• Insulin Pump center for patient with brittle diabetes as well as for the affording patients Diabetes Education
• Certificate course of Diabetes – for health care Professionals
• Training center for para-medical personnel including nurses/educators, dieticians and podiatrists
